Lot Description

A George III silver cream jug, the body florally embossed, central initialled and crested cartouche, scrolling leaf capped handle and raised on a pedestal foot. Hallmarked Charles Hougham, London 1779. Maximum height measuring 4 1/4 inches (10.5 cm), weight 2.4 ozt (77 grams).

Condition Report

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

Minor dints and bumps. Reinforcement repair to the top join of the handle. Solder repair at the join of the foot. Hallmarks worn but legible, part of the maker's mark has been completely worn off.
