Lot Description
A Victorian silver three piece bachelor tea service comprising teapot, twin handled sugar bowl and cream jug, each of oval form with beaded borders enclosing floral and foliate motifs surrounding vacant cartouche, ebonised handle and finial to the teapot. Hallmarked Robert Harper, London 1872. Maximum length of teapot measures 8 1/4 inches (21 cm), gross weight 18.11 ozt (563.3 grams). (3).

Condition Report
All three pieces display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some general dints and bumps. Heavier scratches and nicks to some areas. Solder repair to the join of the spout. Some loss of detail and definition to the engraved decoration. Hinged lid in working order. Slight rubbing to some marks, mainly the maker's mark on the cream jug, but otherwise the hallmarks are clear and legible.
