Lot Description
A late Victorian silver three piece tea service comprising teapot, twin handled sugar bowl and cream jug, each piece with floral scroll and pierced rim and ornately decorated throughout with further floral motifs and foliate scrolls surrounding a monogrammed cartouche to one side and a vacant cartouche to the opposing side, the cream and sugar with gilded interiors, the teapot with ebonised handle and finial to the domed and hinged lid. Hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co (William Gibson & John Lawrence Langman), London 1895. Teapot length measures 12 1/4 inches (31 cm), gross weight 43.99 ozt (1368.3 grams).

Condition Report
The tea set appears in good overall condition, displaying some general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some slight rubbing and loss of detail to decoration in places but it is generally still good. Staining and tarnishing to the interior of the teapot. The hinged lid to teapot is in working order. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Also with impressed maker's name and address.
