Lot Description
An early twentieth century silver cigarette case, of plain oblong form with applied motif to the front depicting a nude female butterfly figure in Art Nouveau style, and with an incised signature to one corner. Hallmarked Charles S Green & Co Ltd., Birmingham 1916. Measuring 3 1/8 inches (8 cm) by 2 3/8 inches (6 cm), weight 2.23 ozt (69.3 grams).

Condition Report
The case displays some general surface scratches, marks, wear and light tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Several heavier scratches are visible, also some minor surface dints/nicks. Slight loss of surface definition to applied motif. Hinges and clasp appear in working order. The hallmarks appear a little rubbed in places but are still legible.
