Lot Description
A pair of George III silver candlesticks, the plain cylindrical columns raised on a circular base with gadroon border and initial engraving, the detachable nozzles similarly decorated and also with initial engraving, filled. Hallmarked John Roberts & Co (Roberts, Clayton & Emory), Sheffield 1813. Height measuring 7 inches (18 cm).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Numerous minor dents and bumps, one stick much more heavily than the other and also includes some creasing where the column meets the base. Both undersides of the bases are worn, the loading has dropped and become loose and the silver mount pulling away in areas. Hallmarks are rubbed in some parts but overall legible, part hallmarks match and present to the detachable nozzles.
