Lot Description
A Victorian silver sugar basket, the pedestal open work form decorated with a band of foliate motifs and simple vertical and hole piercing, above engraved decorative borders, with plain swing handle and standing on a square footed base (liner deficient). Hallmarked Atkin Brothers, Sheffield 1895. Height measures 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm), weight 4.83 ozt (150.5 grams).

Condition Report
The basket appears in fair to good overall condition, displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some shallow surface dints visible. Slight loss of detail or definition to some of the decoration. The hallmarks are clear and legible, also corresponding part hallmarks to the handle.
