Lot Description

A selection of jewellery, to include an early 20th century purple paste bug brooch, a late Victorian silver anchor and double heart brooch, a mid Victorian, gold plated memorial brooch with central hair panel, together with three further brooches and two rings. Length of brooches 1.1 to 4.8cms. Weight of first 1.8gms.

Overall fair to good condition, with light surface scratches throughout from general wear. The rest of the lot contains a gold plated photograph pendant with reversible fittings, this has a replacement pin. A late 19th century silver hoof brooch with moss agate hoof, this has a possible replacement pin and is heavily tarnished. An early 20th century amethyst oval brooch, which shows tarnishing. A costume jewellery ring, a paste ring which is very misshapen and worn. The anchor brooch is in good condition, just shows tarnishing. The memorial brooch shows rubbing to the plating, has a replacement pin, shows soft solder around the clasp, has an engraved inscription to the reverse reading ' A.L. April 2nd 1856.' The bug brooch has a replacement pin.
