Lot Description
A Belle Epoche 18ct gold and platinum diamond and ruby brooch pendant. Of openwork design, the pear-shape collet, suspended from a diamond point and ruby scrolling floral panel, to the textured surmount depicting a series of swallows in flight. Pear-shape diamond estimated weight 0.20ct. French assay marks. Length 5.6cms. Weight 15.2gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. The tip of the pear-shape diamond appears rounded, possible small chip to the tip. Chip to the girdle of the pear-shape diamond. Setting and size of the diamonds prevents accurate colour/clarity grading. Estimated total diamond spread weight 0.50ct, which is no indication of the total diamond weight. The brooch fittings unscrew. Two surmount loops for pendant use.
