Lot Description

An open face pocket watch by R. Haswell & Sons. Hallmarked London 1884. Signed full plate key wind fusee and chain movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement, partial train jewelling, split bi-metal compensation balance and blued hairspring. White dial with Roman numeral hour markers, sunken subsidiary up/down power reserve indicator and seconds dial to twelve and six respectively. 18ct yellow gold case. 47mm. 100gms.

Movement currently running - will need a service to verify condition,  some superficial markings on movement/screws, hands showing slight scratches, residue on sub seconds dial, may come off with careful cleaning, dial marked with finger prints, glass marked with fine scratches - may polish out, hinges appear in good condition, bezel case and pendant marked with fine scratches consistent with general wear, bow feels secure and is showing minimal signs of wear.
