Lot Description

A Victorian silver vinaigrette, of scalloped oval form, the engine-turned lid and base with oval-shape cartouche, to the scrolling foliate sides and pierced floral silver-gilt grille and original sponge. Hallmarked Hilliard & Thomason, Birmingham 1850. Length measuring 5 cm, weight 20.7 grams.

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Slight wear and scuffs, noticeably to the hinge of the grille. Slight wear to the hallmarks, legible.
