An Edwardian silver vesta case, the oblong form with foliate engraving, with later set and applied hardstone details. Hallmarked Chester 1903, with the maker's mark W.H.I. Height measuring 4 cm, weight 23 grams.

Condition Report

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

A number of dints and dents. Some rubbing and loss of definition to the engraving. The hardstone appears naively applied and unevenly raised. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
