Lot Description

An early 20th century 15ct gold opal and split pearl necklace. Of foliate design, the oval opal cabochon, within a scrolling split and seed pearl surround, with similarly-designed opal and split pearl drop, to the trace-link back-chain. Length of pendant 6.2cms. Length of chain 43cms. Weight 8.6gms.

Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general wear. The opals are well matched with play-of-colour throughout each stone displaying green, blue, violet, yellow and some orange/red. Some possible split pearl replacement.
