Lot Description

An early twentieth century silver mounted glass oil and vinegar, hallmarked W J Myatt & Co, Birmingham 1912, height measuring 5 1/2 inches (14 cm). Together with a pair of George III silver sugar nips, a pair of silver salt spoons, a Dutch silver handled carving knife and a pair of ivory handles knives with crested terminals.  (5).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

Scratches to the glass, minor nibbles and chips, a small chips also present inside one of the collars and to the stoppers. The Dutch knife is is poor condition, the terminal heavily compressed and split, Import marks present alongside Dutch assay marks. The sugar nips are engraved with personal initials. The ivory handled knives display dints and pits, one of the blades no longer sits flush with the blade, no hallmarks present. Hallmarks where present overall are clear and legible.
