Lot Description

A silver match box cover, by Liberty & Co., of planished rectangular form, raised on four bun feet, the top decorated with scrolling foliate panel and sides, with crest detail. Hallmarked Liberty & Co, London 1923. Length 3 1/4 inches (8.3 cm), weight 1.83 ozt (57.2 grams).

Condition Report

Fair to good overall condition. The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The case is buckled slightly to one side and the top is very slightly indented. Liberty number stamped 5846. The crest is engraved as a falcon gripping a manacle.
