Lot Description
An early twentieth century silver import cigarette case, the oblong form with an applied panel depicting a portrait of a semi-nude female, with cabochon set clasp opening to a silver-gilt interior. Hallmarked Steinhart & Co, Birmingham import 1913. Height measuring 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), weight 4.6 ozt (146 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The panel is not kiln-fired enamel, and has the appearance of a much softer material, it does have a number of scratches and minor losses to the corners. Birmingham import marks are clear and legible.
