A 1940's silver cigarette case, the oblong form with engine turned decoration, monogrammed cartouche and opening to a silver-gilt interior with personal military interest engraving, hallmarked Birmingham 1942, height measuring 3 7/8 inches (10 cm). Together with a further silver cigarette case of similar form, hallmarked Birmingham 1941. Gross weight 8.2 ozt (258 grams). (2).

In good overall condition. The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Hinges and clasps in good working order. Both would benefit from a clean and polish.
