Lot Description

Four items of mainly late 19th century jewellery, to include a diamond point gold brooch, an oval gold locket with engraved foliate design and monogram, a gold plated snuff box and a silver and mother-of-pearl folding fruit knife. Blade with hallmarks for Sheffield, 1909. Weight of brooch and locket 11gms.

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches in keeping with general wear. Significant wear to gold packing on pill/snuff box. Fruit knife with small chips to the mother-of-pearl. Inset cartouche discoloured. Blade does not close fully into the handle. Length of brooch 4cms. The brooch has been re-gilt with noticeable pitting and surface erosion. Estimated diamond spread weight 0.05ct, which does not reflect the actual diamond weight. Discolouration to the surface of the locket. Length of locket 3.2cms.
