Lot Description

An early 20th century 18ct gold diamond five-stone ring. The graduated old-cut diamonds, to the scroll gallery and tapered band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.75ct. Partial hallmarks for Birmingham. Weight 2.1gms.

<li>Band shows significant evidence of repair and resize. Thinning to the back of the band. Sections added in.<p>

<li>Diamonds fairly well matched.<p>

<li>Diamonds fairly bright.<p>

<li>Principal diamond estimated I-J colour, P1 clarity. Large feather and dark inclusions located under the table facet, visible to the unaided eye.<p>

<li>Individual size and setting of the outer diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Outer diamonds have scattered to large inclusions, some are surface reaching.<p>
