Lot Description

An Egyptian Revival gem-set clip. The faience seated figure held within a hieroglyph cartouche, to the alternating circular-shape emerald and circular ruby cabochon surround, with grooved bar and ruby line base. Egyptian marks. Length 4.9cms. Weight 12.9gms.

<li>Overall condition good to fair. Minor surface scratches/wear and general slight discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Small acid stain to the reverse.

<li>Rubies a moderately well matched pinky red hue, the emeralds a deep slightly blusih green hue. Poor clarity with significant typical inclusions.<p>

<li>Stones mostly in good condition with minor abrasions, one ruby with significant chip. One possible red gem replacement.<p>
