Lot Description

A mid-Victorian pair of silver plated candlesticks by Elkington & Co., each having urn socle raised upon baluster stem and spreading circular base with ogee rim, the whole having formal leaf decoration conforming to the baluster outline. Marked Elkington & Co., 1857. Height measures 10 2/8 inches (26 cm).

Overall each appears in fair condition but would greatly benefit from re-plating and a clean and polish. General signs of tarnishing, rubbing and surface marks to the whole, and marks heavily worn.
