Lot Description

A George II silver hot water pot by Philip Garden, the tapering body embellished with floral chasing, three crest engravings and further initials, the spout with heart-shaped opening, domed and stepped hinged cover with artichoke finial. Hallmarked Philip Garden, London 1750. Height measuring 9 1/4 inches (23.5 cm), weight 19.6 ozt (610 grams).

Good overall condition. The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Empty or filled rivet holes to handle mounts. Hallmarks somewhat worn but legible, maker's mark and lion passant also present to cover.
