Lot Description

An early 20th century 15ct gold opal, diamond and split pearl pendant. The oval opal cabochon, within a split pearl and old-cut diamond foliate surround, suspending a split pearl drop, to the similarly-set bow surmount and 9ct gold belcher-link chain. Length of pendant 5.5cms. Length of chain 43cms. Weight 10.1gms. With fitted case.

<li>Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>The opal has a white body colour, displaying greens, oranges, pinks and a little blue. There is a significant flat patch to the one edge, where there is no play of colour.

<li>The split pearls are fairly well matched, a couple are slightly more grey in colour.

<li>Slight blemishes to a couple.

<li>Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.<p>

<li>The diamond is bright.

<li>Pendant stamped 15ct. Chain stamped 9ct.

<li>Significant scuffs scratches and dirt to the box.
