Lot Description
A late 15th to early 16th century gold ring. The late medieval ring designed as an oval head with engraved dot clusters to the corners and a central vacant rectangular setting, to the ridged shoulders with further engraved foliate detail below. Ring size M 1/2. Weight 1.7gms. Found in Calbourne, Isle of Wight. (Treasure: 2012 T688; PAS:IOW-275785).

Condition Report
Overall good condition for the age of the piece. The ring band measures 1mm thick, the shoulders 2.5mm and the setting measures 6 by 7.5mm. The engraved detail to the shoulders is moderately worn. The setting is vacant with three small splits to two of the push-over setting edges.
