Lot Description

A George III gold mourning ring. The hinged square cloisonne enamelled panel depicting an urn beneath a weeping willow, opening to a vacant framed panel with memorial inscription to a later added band. Ring size P. Weight 3.4gms.

The ring is in good condition with surface scratches to the metal and enamel in keeping with age and wear. Small areas of enamel deficient. The band has been added at a later time. Inscription reads '30 of March 1810 aged 31 years'.
