Lot Description

Three items of mid 19th to early 20th century jewellery. To include a mid 19th century rectangular-shape carved coral brooch, a mid 19th century openwork seed pearl brooch with a single part-earring and an early 20th century 9ct gold red-gem and split pearl bar brooch. Lengths 3.2 to 4cms. Weight 13gms.

Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with age and general wear. One split pearl deficient. One pin is a base metal replacement.

Some small losses to the mother-of-pearl backing and some seed pearls deficient to the seed pearl brooch. There are many seed pearls deficient to the single earring. The earring has a hook fitting for pierced ears. Possibly converted from another piece of jewellery. Possible repairs. Seed pearls untested for natural origin.
