A large and fine Blue John pedestal urn
Of neoclassical shouldered ovoid form with ball finial and flared surmount to the spreading fixed 'cover', over plain collar, the body with good vertical veining, raised on a spreading socle, the Blue John cuboid pedestal with Ashford marble table, onyx collar and apron, and Ashford marble plinth, 425mm high overall, 7,286gms.

Finial cracked, reattached. Minor infill to natural fissures of spreading upper body.
Minor darker infill to lower body. Dark line to onyx collar and chip to one corner of black slate plinth.

A U-shaped section of the upper body (shoulder and below) has dark infill - either the border of two rocks or else the urn has been partially rebuilt.
