A good ormolu-mounted Blue John cassolet or urn and cover
Early 19th century, in the manner of Matthew Boulton
The finely cast cover with seated child beside two birds, above a heart-pierced frieze with beaded rim between bifurcated foliate scroll handles flanking an ovoid body with moulded collar, raised on a fluted socle and canted square base with incised edges, 200mm high, 1,207gms all-in.
