Lot Description

A Victorian silver Christening mug, of inverted campana form, lobed and florally engraved, hallmarked George Unite, Birmingham 1851, height measuring 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm). Together with a further silver christening mug with part fluted body, hallmarked London 1899, height measuring 3 1/2 inches (9 cm). Gross weight 7.7 ozt (242 grams). (2).

The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The first example with heavier tarnishing, the foot also compressed and dented into the body. No personal engravings. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
