Lot Description

A George II silver caster, the vase form with panelled and pierced cover and baluster finial. Hallmarked Samuel Wood, London 1746. Height measuring 4 3/4 inches (12 cm), weight 2.6 ozt (83 grams).

Condition Report

The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor dints. A little compressed into the foot and lopsided. Wear to the engraved decoration on cover. Small initial engraving to the underside. Hallmarks somewhat distorted but legible.
