Lot Description

A George IV small silver chamberstick, the oblong base embossed with a swag and bow motif with gadrooned border and foliate engraved embellished socket. Hallmarked Battie, Howard & Hawksworth, Sheffield 1821. Maximum length of base measuring 3 1/4 inches (8 cm), weight 1.8 ozt (57 grams).

Condition Report

In good overall condition. The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Hallmarks somewhat distorted by the decoration, particularly the date letter.
