A late 19th century gold gem-set brooch. Of knot design with overlaid leaf detail collet-set with an oval-shape white sapphire and garnet to the suspended pear-shape drop. Length 3.8cms. Weight 2.7gms.

Condition Report
Overall fair to good condition, with light to moderate surface scratches and tarnishing from general wear in keeping with the age of the piece. The piece has probably been adapted from a ear pendant or larger piece of jewellery, there is a narrow suspension loop to the top of it. The pin is a replacement. There is an area of green tarnishing beneath the clasp.
