Lot Description

Two early 20th century 9ct gold medallions. Of circular outline with scrolling detail, one with personal inscription to the reverse. Hallmarks for Birmingham 1918 and 1932. Lengths 3.1 and 3.4cms. Weight 12.2gms.

Overall fair to good condition, with light to moderate surface scratches and tarnishing from general wear. There is moderate to heavy wear to the engraved decoration to one medallion. The personal inscription reads, 'N.G.H.W.S.Cn Mr W.Moore 1932-33. Both look to have been gilded in a higher carat gold which has rubbed off apart from crevices.
