Lot Description

A 1930's silver pedestal dish of circular form, applied foliate, shell and scroll rim with a later presentation engraving to one side, and raised on a knopped stem to a spread circular foot. Hallmarked Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1934. Maximum height measures 6 1/8 inches (15.5 cm), weight 14.55 ozt (452.5 grams).

The dish appears in fair to good overall condition, displaying general wear, surface scratches and marks commensurate with the age and use. Heavier spots or patches of tarnishing to some areas and would benefit from a clean and polish. Some deeper contact scratches and marks to the plain interior of the dish. The hallmarks are clear and legible, further impressed with maker's mark and name to underside of foot.
