Lot Description

A late Victorian silver aide memoire, finely decorated with engraved foliate scrollwork to the whole and with vacant shield cartouche to the hinged cover, opening to reveal a compartmented lined interior having single ivory leaf. Hallmarked Minshull & Latimer, Birmingham 1892. Length measures 4 inches (10 cm), gross weight inclusive of interior 2.94 ozt (91.61 grams).

Condition Report

Overall fair condition although with few small dents and knocks causing slight distortion to exterior, and with general tarnishing and surface marks commensurate with age and use. Hinge in good working order and interior with light wear and possibly later. Hallmarks partly worn but still clear and legible.
