Lot Description

A French scent bottle, the cranberry glass body of tapered form and overlaid with scroll open-work silver embellished with floral festoons and rising to the parcel-gilt bulbous hinged cover embossed with birds amidst floral swags, sculptural terminal depicting two foxes and opening to a further fox head stopper. French assay mark. Height measuring 5 ½ inches (14 cm).

The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor dents to the bottom of the base mount. Hinge and clasp in good working order. Gilding worn.
