Lot Description

Two late 18th century gold, diamond and enamel jewellery mounts. To include a blue enamel circular-shape ring mount with engraved reverse and replacement band, together with a marquise-shape blue and white enamel pendant mount, each with diamond spaced highlights. Estimated total diamond weight 0.20ct. Length of pendant mount 4.6cms. Total weight 12.6gms.

<li>Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Small split to back of ring mount. Discolouration and soft solder at shoulders, wear, possible conversion.

<li>Ring band is out of round.

<li>Ring size M.


<li>Diamonds well matched.



<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>


<li>Enamel with some small chips and slight losses.

<li>Personal inscription to reverse of ring with wear, reads 'Sarah Coombe, Ob'y 12 Jan'y 1795 At 80'.

<li>Length of pendant includes jump ring, length of front panel 3.9cms.
