Lot Description

A pair of George IV silver table spoons, each in Fiddle, Thread & Shell pattern with crested terminal and shell heel. Hallmarked London 1821, maker probably Richard Poulden. Length measures 8 7/8 inches (22.5 cm), weight 6.24 ozt (194.2 grams).

Both spoons display general wear, surface scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and general use. A few minor dints to bowls, also some pitting marks and heavier scratches. However they have retained their shape. Engraved crests are very worn. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
