A James I seal top spoon, the fig shaped bowl with slightly tapering stem and baluster seal terminal. Hallmarked William Limpanny, London 1613. Length measuring 6 1/4 inches (16 cm), weight 1.2 ozt (37.9 grams).

The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Striking edges worn down. Light pitting to the underside. Slight flattening to the heel. Decoration to the terminal worn, slight remnants of a armorial to the main surface . Hallmarks somewhat worn but in keeping with the age and use.
