Lot Description

Five pairs of silver sugar tongs, comprising a late Victorian pair having beaded detail and engraved initials, hallmarked John Round & Son Ltd. (Joseph Ridge), Sheffield 1897, two later hallmarked pairs, plus two imported examples each marked Gorham Manufacturing Co., Birmingham 1905. Gross weight 3.05 ozt (94.89 grams). (5).

Condition Report

Overall each in appears in fair condition. Victorian pair with general light tarnishing and rubbing, one other pair with rubbing causing slight loss of definition to decoration. Imported pairs each with tarnishing and slight distortion to form. Hallmarks throughout clear and legible.
