Lot Description

An Edwardian silver mounted small hand mirror, the bevelled mirror plate of oval form and decorated with enamelled flag to reverse, hallmarked Lawrence Emanuel, Birmingham 1904. Together with a silver and mother-of-pearl rattle, hallmarked Birmingham 1976. Height of mirror measures 5 inches (12.7 cm). (2).

Both items display general wear including surface scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier scratches and nicks to silver mirror mount and scratches to enamel of flag. Heavier dints to the suspending balls of the rattle and the suspension loop to the teething ring is broken. The hallmarks to both are clear and legible.
