Fanny Bunn (fl. 1891-1921)
An Arts & Crafts painting
'The Legend of Sandalphone, The Angel of Prayer'
The arched panel depicting a central holy figure beside two weeping angles amidst white flowers
'Examined South Kensington' stamp to lower left hand corner
Titled in pencil verso with artist details and numbered 2
18" wide x 9" high to top of arch (45.5 cm x 23 cm)
In card mount and gilt frame under glass.
Fanny Bunn was an award winning student at the Birmingham Municipal School of Art in the early 20th century. A copper plaque by Bunn is now listed in the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery collection.
