Lot Description

A pair of late nineteenth/early twentieth century Portuguese silver dishes, each of circular outline having scrollwork piercing quartered by shields and with associated glass liners. Marked for Lisbon and with first standard boar mark. Diameter measures 6 inches (15.25 cm), weight excluding glass liners 8.83 ozt (274.5 grams).

Each dish appears in fair condition although with heavy scratching to centres. Marks are rubbed but still legible. One glass dish is marked 'Made in England' and both are slightly too small for silver dishes.
