Lot Description

A mid Victorian gold diamond, cultured pearl and enamel anchor pendant. The pear-shape cultured pearl, suspended from an old-cut diamond anchor with white enamel and engraved spacers and blue enamel surround, to the graduated old-cut diamond line surmount. Estimated total diamond weight 2cts. Length 7.2cms. Weight 6.8gms. With later fitted case for S.J. Philips Ltd.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Some diamonds with chips to the girdle, some surface reaching features.

<li>The cross has enamel of similar design to the front and the reverse.

<li>Enamel has small chips and losses, general abrasion, mostly to the reverse.


<li>Cultured pearl untested.

<li>Cultured pearl is a white hue, noticeable surface wear.
