Lot Description

A Victorian silver soup ladle, in Queen's pattern with anthemion motif to heel and engraved shield crest to terminal reverse, hallmarked Chawner & Co (George William Adams), London 1871. Together with a souvenir tea strainer spoon decorated with Dutch landscape scenes and having enamel shield terminal. Gross weight 10.65 ozt (331 grams). (2).

The ladle appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying general scratches, marks and wear commensurate with age and use. Quite tarnished and would benefit from a clean and polish. The bowl displays some surface bumps and heavier marks and nicks but has generally faired well. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Some heavy tarnishing to the strainer and general surface wear and scratches. Appears unmarked.
