Lot Description

A Victorian Aesthetic period aide-memoire, the oblong form with scalloped edge and engraved with various birds and insects amidst foliage and personal monogram to the reverse and opening to a material lined compartmentalised interior with ivory pages. Hallmarked Colen Hewer Cheshire, 1888. Height measuring 4 inches (10 cm).

In good overall condition. Light general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. Ivory pages with writing. Hinge and clasp in good working order. Hallmarks a little rubbed but legible.
