Lot Description

AUGUSTE PEYROULA - a 1920s silver French compact. The rectangular compact with sliding clasp set with onyx and diamonds, opening to a mirror within the lid, two hinged compartments and a centrally mounted lipstick holder. With guarantee marks for Paris Assay Office. Length 7.4cms. Weight 146.3gms.

Condition Report

The lot is in fair condition with surface scratches to the enamel and metal in keeping with use. Some tarnish or discolouration to the compartment lids. The mirror to the inside of the lid has small chips in three places to the outer bevelled edge. Mirror has been newly re-foiled. Boars head stamp for Paris Assay Office.
