A 19th century circular portrait miniature, head and shoulder study depicting a young female with long flowing red hair, her head tilted back and her eyes looking upwards, signed Bertin, 2.5" (6.5cm) diameter.

Believed to be upon ivory panel, although not checked as the picture has been affixed by glue to another backing board. Indistinctly dated 1817? Damaged and losses to edges of panel. On later mount and within later wooden frame. Wooden frame damage.
