<li>The brooch was originally part of something else and has been adapted into a brooch at a later date, original fixings still visible to the reverse.

<li>Garnets dark pinkish purple with a good saturation of colour and fair clarity with some inclusions visible with magnification.

<li>Stones are in good condition with minor abrasions.
