Lot Description

A pair case pocket watch by R.Sharp. Silver cases, outer case hallmarked London 1855, inner case hallmarked Birmingham 1817. Signed full plate fusee and chain movement with verge escapement and pierced balance cock. White enamel dial with Roman numeral hour markers. Outer case 56mm.

<li>Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye.

<li>Dial has a series of hairline cracks. Multiple clusters of cracks spread across the dial with concentrations to four and ten.

<li>Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing.

<li>Glass has scratches and marks.  

<li>Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Outer and inner case are mismatched and are a later pairing.

<li>Hinges have some play.
