A mid-Victorian silver and ruby glass inkwell, the tapered glass body with parcel-gilt foliate openwork overlay, hinged cover and standing on a spread cast base. Hallmarked Charles Thomas Fox & George Fox, London 1855. Height measuring 4 1/4 inches (11 cm).
